hi all trying to locate a wire in my 20xe engine bay nova which becomes live when the engine fires up and stays live! Its for the relay on my pas pump!
Cheers
You want to tap into the thick black wires in the loom.
is it to switch the pump on/off or run it? As I imagine that pulls a fair amperage, may need a dedicated wire running to it to save it frying the loom.

The key word is relay lol

yeah jus switch a relay on main live is from the battery! I want to be able to put the radio on ie key position one and the pump not be on! If you see what i mean? Lol!
Do Nova ignition barrels let you turn the radio on without the rest of the "ignition live" circuits? I thought not...

That was sneakily edited before you replied, I read it a while ago and I'm sure it said "its for my pas pump" lol

Sure. Just find yourself a black wire and check it doesn't go live on position 1 with a DMM. The secondary circuit will also die on crank as well.
Alt blue/white, Onto a relay, other side onto earth and then use that to switch the fat live for the pas.
That is how mine is, and has been like that for a good 9/10 months now.
