having just seen the combe threads, can i say to you younger people, please start using decent suncream, you might feel that a little sunburn isn't too bad. i know far too many people that have recently suffered from some form of cancer.
from my experience, the sun is definitely harsher these days compared to when i was a kid (the 70's), and my mum only ever bought after sun lotion. i have a few angry moles, and have spent the past few years trying to keep myself covered up when out in the sun.
i'm just saying please be careful, you only get one chance at doing this.

thanks for reading.

Definitely. Don't forget you don't need to be in direct sunlight either to get burnt. I'll be making sure I bring a stock of suntan lotion to national weekend after being fried at combe!

BTW chemo/radiotherapy isn't the most pleasant of things to go through

i've seen tons of people with sunburn this year, and they really aren't aware of the dangers.

andy, you & i work outdoors and are quite used to it, but you must remember that a lot of people work indoors. then there is the whole macho thing about being a poof if you use sun lotion. i recommend using something like a factor 25 these days.

Well its the first time I've been out in the midday sun sinse Billing (night worker) and its safe to say I got fried to a crisp today. I never used to burn but I'm just not used to the sun anymore :( I will be stocking up on decent suntan lotion and a hat for Nats as that will probably be my next outing in the sun.
