There's a how-to in articles detailing how to change a CV boot.

Is it split or just come adrift? If the latter you can just refit it with a cable tie.

the drive shaft doesn't need to come right out, and they are pretty simple, even without a stretching tool, just remove the outer CV joint.

undo nut on drive shaft
undo bolts holding strut to hub, and track rod end.
pull hub forwards, and push CVJ out of hub
cut the old boot off, and wipe as much excess grease off as you can
inside the joint is an external circlip, undo it and pull the joint off the shaft
clean all grease from drive shaft, and slide new boot up the shaft
clean and re pack CVJ with grease, and slide it back on the shaft
slide boot up to the joint, secure small end, squirt a bit of grease inside, and secure large end, make sure its not full of air
re assemble everything else.

P.S. buy gloves lol

By the state of the inside of the wheel I'm going to say split. :(

It's no biggy mate, a boot kit will be under £15, and should take less than an hour to change. Combe can still happen :thumb:

Thanks. I shall purchase a boot in the morning. What kind of torque wrench settings are needed?

110Nm for the wheel, strut bolts dont really matter, just need to be good and tight, and fooking tight for the hub nut.
