Ascona 400r & Manta i200r

My old fella got a chance of this Ascona 400r and couldn't let it past him!
It's a 1977 Ascona 2 door, running 2.0 red top on twin 45's & MBE management, LSD, disc brakes all round, 400 kit, 15" Revolutions, half cage, Impreza front seats.
Went through MOT tonight, so should hopefully have it out at a show or 2 this year.

Me too, it's beautiful.

When I lived in Bournemouth there was an identical looking Ascona to that, but with a Rover V8 under the bonnet. Sounded lovely.

It was one similar for sale a while back, we had arranged to go see it on a Sunday, but got a call on Saturday evening to tell us it had been sold.:cry:

Knew of this one so tortured the owner until he gave in.lol

It was featured in Total Vauxhall a while back too, guy we bought it off has 2 door Asconas coming out of his ears!!

Doubtful if Billing is on the cards this year, sisters graduation in Edinburgh the day before, so don't want to leave the cars sitting about, plus all her stuff has to be taken home too......

would look even better with the oem i400 fabric on the seats.

Manta has a genuine Blitz interior in it, and have the material to retrim the Ascona seats as well. Not 100% sure if I should keep the Subaru Impreza seats that are in it at the minute or change them back to the standard Recaros.........:thumb:

Currently working on the Ascona A to spruce it up a little. Will be getting a full respray in it's original colour very soon. Bought these wheels for it last week, unsure whether to stick with them, or a set of 8x13 ATS Classics. Obviously it will be lowered quite a bit!
