Might be buying a set of 17 inch Speedline Mistrals but i think they would look too big so some photos would be appreciated of novas on 17s.
Or one on a set of 17 inch Mistrals if anyones done it.

^^^^ F lol
Will probably look worse than the above pic, you might get away with it with a wide arch kit
16's is the largest on a nova IMO really that's too big, personally I like 14's for the best all round handling

These are the wheels.
BUT....the simps has cut his arches and all sorts. Without this they will look naff. IMO.

That looks epic i love it.
I wonder how much work needed to fir them though, im thinking they are too wide ?
Going to have a read through his thread now and see whats up.
They'll be 7inch wide, that's not best. Offset with be 39mm max..
You'll have loads of fun.

What work do you think i will need to fit them ?
spacers and rolled arches will work ? or more
i looked at 17" then saw i can fit 7.5 x 17 no probs, if i removed the rear shock and cut into the chassis leg around the spring mount and pulled the rear arches out lol
its not an easy task mate

More. Lots more.
You dont wanna space them.. That will make it worse...

I thought since theyre wider they might catch off the springs

7x17 et 49 shock removed as the wheel hits it, camber adjusted and no tyre, if the suspension moves the wheel hits lol

These are the exact wheels im considering buying, lad says theyre 7 inch wide 49mm offset and 17 inch, i managed to squeeze those 7.5 azev a's on the nova with a small bit of camber i reckon a lil bit of arch work would get these on ?
So tempting to buy them after looking at the photos

If you could get them to fit or a 5 spoke style wheel similar then it will suit your nova perfectly! Seen as you're respraying your car could you not just pull the arches out a tad beforehand?

Thats what i was thinking Lee, i could make the modification now before i respray it again.
Im going to try and raise a few extra quid before i pull the cash out for them though.

Dont know if you're still in the market but i have some 16" mistrals i'd sell. They're 7.5 wide & et35 from memory so ur inners will be ok you'll just need to flare your arches. PM me if interested.

Darcy ran 17" st220 wheels no worries.
Standard arches aswell? Rolled, but not wide arched.
My old 1.0 with ATP Helicopters in ET49 offset. Caught the inner arch slightly, could have been sorted with a few blows with a hammer if you wanted to! Not worth it in my opinion, car was totally undriveable, and a 1.0 trying to turn the 17's didn't work either!!

Could well be, I've always known them as Helicopters though!!lol
Wish I'd kept those mudflaps, they would have looked well on the Sport.

Yeah, pretty sure they were atp storms (with millie miglia spiders, and o.z polaris being similar wheels at the time)
