Hi

I've just bought a vibe sub package with the built in amplifier and and ive also got a legacy 400w amp that needs to be wired up to the 6 x 9s.
I was wondering if i would need 1 or 2 wiring kits to do this?

Cheers for the help

I think you would,

I bought a Splx package which came with sub, amp and wiring kit.
I also used my other amp I had to power my 6*9s and had to use another wiring kit.

This is though my amp was not built into the sub it was a seperate uint so alittle unsure about yours.

if uv got two amps you will most likely need 2 wiring kits.

Thing is though, i think his amp is all connected up and 'built' inside his sub already.

You will only need one in my opinion. One remote split to turn the both amps on and one Large power from the battery split to power the amps. It is cheaper to make a kit anyway then you can make up exactly what you want.

1.5mm for the remote and say 10mm will cover both amps for the power. and 10mm for an earth to the boot floor or somewhere.

You will need a set of RCA's with Y splitters on to go to each amp or if your head unit has it then you could use two sets.

Good luck

8) in car heater here we come :D

:o :o :o :o

in fairness if you calculate it all etc properley, you can use one kit. BUT if youve already got one wiring kit, chances are it will not be up to the job of powering two

lol at in car heater.

I ran a 10mm Power cable for amp which we use at work for drawing over 100 amps no problem. Seeing that your car wont ever pull anywhere neer that (without a cap),

50amps (current) per amp would be no problem for 10mm cable.

A 1000watt amp RMS would only pull 83.3 amps so you could afford to runn two 500 watt RMS amps of 1 10mm cable.

No probs. One 10mm Power cable please.

Remote cable runs about 0.3 amp max so thats pish.

Earth is just 1 cable per amp down to earth. As short of possible.

You might just have enough cable to do it from one decent kit but its not worth spending anout ?20-30 min on another amp wiring kit.

Not when your as skint as me! :x
