is there such thing as clutch fluid? my clutch pedal has bin getin heavy recently, an sumtimes doesnt feel quite right when im changin gears, other times its ok, i thought it might be the cable, or the clutch itself, but could it be a lack of fluid? if there is such a thing!!??
thanx

some vehicles have a hydraulic clutch (operates similar to brakes, ie master cylinder and the slave cylinder to push the clutch)
novas have a cable.
prehaps the finger springs are knackerd, change it. its not expensive or hard to do

ok mate, il have a look, were abouts will i find them, had a look in the back of haynes for 'finger springs' an couldnt find anything...
thanx
the finger springs are all part of the clutch mechanism. look to changeing the clutch (should be done as a whole, ie new friction disc, clutch release bearing/thrust bearing and the cover assembly
its not hard, should only take an hour or two.
as an alternative thought it could be the clutch cable taht has worn inside to give flat spots that could give random stiffness to the operation
