what would this engine be like in a nova or would it be pointless:(
Should be quite good. The 1.8 sri engine was 110 horse iirc.

im not sure john might be the same weight or simmilar to an xe?
the 8v is a fair bit lighter, prob not much more than a c16se
and it would use the same mounting stuff as an xe for future reference.

wtf
Like mike says, lighter than an xe. Big block so would need big block mounts/shafts etc.

I'll take the box and shafts off you if you like :)
not worth it without the complete injection setup....
it costs the earth to tune a 1.8 as there just aren't the bits left anymore, and try & find a carb spec dizzy set.... the rally/kitcar boys have been snapping them up for ages.....
the f16cr is worth a few bob though.
I once had a mk2 astra sri, I loved it, it revved and revved. It was also faster than my mates 2.0 8v gte. :)

I think iv got an airflow meter and ecu for one of these. All you would have to get is the loom.
