have you considered putting a corsa B airbox/tophat on your car? My bro used one on his 1.4spi which let him use an off the shelf cone type air filter. The airbox sits on top of the carb (replacing your flat round box) but has a pipe that goes off towards the inner wing, which you just connect to an air filter.
