Multimeter question. . .

I've been having a few problems with my xe nova and need to check the power is gettin to everything so would a basic £20 multimeter from screwfix be ok for testing the wiring? Or would i need to go for one of the ones about £50?

Funds are low at the moment so dont want to get an all singin and dancing one if i dont need to.

if its just checking voltage and contunity, just the cheapest you can get,

iv got a £170 snap on one, and a 99p one of ebay, there both the bloody same lol

edit, the 99p one has an anal temp probe where the snap on one dont lol
