My run around is broken again!!!! :evil:

The 1.4 im running around is poorly again! i got in it this morning and it was really noisey, it was fine last nite, but this morning theres a linda rattle from the frount underneath, and it keeps cutting out when i stop and junctions. And to make things worse when i re start it the zorst 'pops'. It sounds like a VW beetle going down the road.

Help, it supposed to be going to a new owner next week!

err sounds like you need to get all the ign system checked over(plugs,leads rotor arm,cap etc) then get all the timing checked and reset.(inc the cambelt)

its misfiring and if it sounds like a VW beetle sounds like one of the plugs aint working right... Check your dizzy leads, cap (for cracks), rotor arm etc.

Check theres a spark in the plugs (start car, let it adle, then remove each HT lead in turn and listen to engine note - if you remove one and nowt changes then thats the duffer).

Check your water level.

Could be simply a cracked dizzy cap or knackered plug. Worst case is warped head (mine did this on my 1.2)
