do you need to run aftermarket management when running r1 carbs or not??
and what gains is there off running r1 carbs??
Yes you do as that engine doesnt have any place for a distributor mate, i used megajolt on my c20xe.
Not sure on gains but they are cheaper than a set of webbers

what kind of price we talking for
mani fold
management ??
just i know carbs are around 100
i think most folk use bogg bros for their manifold not sure on costs.
Megajolt can come in around the 200 mark, but then needs a bit of mapping to get it sorted. Abd then you need the EDIS parts from a ford, but thats a scrappy run
Have a look on http://www.autosportlabs.net/Megajolt_Lite_Jr. as that sthe site for megajolt

manifolds range from £100, to over £200 for a bogg brothers one (they are pr0n)
megajolt is about £300 all in iirc, might be less though
carbs £100 upwards
R1 fuel pump £30-40
air filters, £40-£100 depending on what style you go for
its more expensive simply because of your engine. I'm putting bike carbs on a 1.4 SR, but as its already a carb engine anyway, i don't need to worry about the ignition side of things as the dizy will do

Seconded, pm Tom and he'll be able to give you very good information and tips regarding the conversion ;)
doubt you will get better gains from a power box...single choke or 1 choke per cylinder? ive got r1 carbs on my c16xe im rebuilding after stupid relief jammed but i should see 190-200bhp with any luck on my spec. so will keep posted once done.
