I have an I4 (love it btw) Now as we all know the battery life isn't that good. I will be going away camping in may, no hook up so no charger. The car charger is crap. (not leaving car ign on for 3 hours every other day lol) Any sensible suggestions? Anyone got a solar charger? :)

john, leave the damned thing at home, get a cheapy that uses no leccy.... or find a friendly camper with a hookup & ask if you can charge it up...

Try telling that to my daughter! I could live without it, she can't. (or more precisely Talking tomcat/ pacman/angry birds) Where we go there is no hook up whatsoever. lol

do you shut down your apps?
my battery last a nice amount of time.
if you do take it, just use it for calls and texts...

Guy at work bought a Solar charger for them from the 'Bay.

Plugged it in whenever he was leaving the phone alone for a long amount of time and it charged it really well suprisingly.

Get the little battery packs that take a AA battery there like a £10 on eBay

They plug in where the charger goes

Just rewire you power socket to be permanent live, thats what I do. It was a god send at shows last year, just plug your phone in, hide it and lock the car. simples :thumb:

Surely the obvious answer would be to just buy 2-3 spare batteries, and fully charge them before you go?

I thoroughly doubt an iPhone with a 1 milliAh battery is going to drain an 80Ah car battery in the time it takes to charge lol if it does, I will personally come to your aid with a jump pack :p

I get 4 days out of my iphone4
Everybody moans about battery life but i see no problem.

At the moments since full charge its been 1 day & 14hrs and i still have 74% battery life!

As for charging when camping, know anybody with an inverter you can borrow?
