C16xe into nova, throttle cable is too long?

At the workshop just now, in the process of hooking up the last of the parts needed. Went to fit the throttle cable to the car, too long? Its the Corsa gsi cable which I'm using which I believe is correct, the pedal or the tb isn't taking up the slack at it's at the end of adjustment? Anyone have and ideas?

My gsi is like this with the c16xe turbo in it, but when i looked although slack the cable opened the throttle fully so i left it lol just sort of half an inch of slack at the top of the pedal?

Get some large penny washers that fit over the base of the cable that goes into the grommet on the firewall, that will sort it

That's what I ending up checking and leaving it at, seems to work fine, but yeah about half an inch mate. I will look into your idea Edd, cheers for the input guys :)
