View Full Version : Pic request-Nova with Cav Expression/Astra GTE champion wheels
Got some Cav Expression alloys lined up
Thinking I'll paint the rim bit of the wheels silver and the centre spinet bits a mat gray colour to match the lock surrounds, door handles and sill stripes
Opinions please, will they suit a Sport ?
Think most people will say more so than the polished 14's lol
So has any one got pics of Nova's with Cav Expressions/ astra gte champion wheels on ?
Prefer mk1's but any will do :)
Edd
Off current topic, I've tried for a few days to try and start the Sport up with no joy :( hopefully when I get home tonight

That is a genuine Nova Sport, its Andy Hills old one and I think John H has it now.
They are Irmscher wheels Andy got when they were clearing out stock at Pentagon Vauxhall.
I had the black version I bought new from Germany. They were meant for the Sport but I stupidly sold them when I got the Sprint kit

Kind of like what I would do colour wise

Yes it was definitely a genuine Sport. It was converted to a C20XE though :(
When he first had the car it had the early nineties Astra GSi rally car decals on it. It was the red, blue and yellow flying chips all up the side, looked good aswell.
Wonder if he wants to sell it lol

Cav Expressions are different to Champion alloys...the Champion wheels have a deeper dish so to speak. I knew a lad who had a black Mk1 Astra with them on - black centres and a polished rim, looked very good. So I imagine if you have a fairly subtle grey/anthracite for the centres it would work very well

Yes, the Champion and Irmscher cross spokes are a different casting to the Expression ones. The spokes finish further away from the rim on the Champ/Irmscher rims to enable to rims to be diamond cut.

Andy took the engine and box out for his mk2 astracab, he kept the wheels and some other bits and i bought what was left.
Good looking wheels, how easy are they to find?
