right the ring on the n/s shaft corroded away, thus no speedo, abs or traction control
replace the cv (what a messy job), and it still dont work :(
also put another new sensor on it, as well as a hand brake cable
looks like another £50 down the drain, just to go to the scrappy :(
an ideas what else i could try ?
Have you reset the Fault codes? These things can be tempramental so resetting the codes/ECU is probably the best option.

well i had the battery off for 3 hours,
cant take it to have the codes done, no mot
Vectras such so much ass it hurts. I changed the injector pump in my 2.0 DI and now I need to get the security codes from the Main dealer and an Opcom back on it to sort out.
I'm buying another Cav.
have you road tested it since?

just risked driving it, still all inop
i think its one for the scrap heap
oh i remember, i did take it for codes, last year, the ecu would not talk to the computer
Ive just had to change the cv joint on my parents vectra b because of the same problem. ABS ring had split due to rust and caused the abs to constantly kick in, speedo went about on its own aswell;) Now its changed works fine!
Its easy on the vectra, undo the 2 bottom arm bolts, undo the shaft nut and pull it out!:thumb:
