Yep, tried two dummy shafts and both give too much play. Jacked the car up, 6th gear, 60mph and the c.v. just vibrates up and down a few MM causing a massive wheel vibration.

With the Diff i'm sure I wont notice much differance. I might go back to equal length if I can source a perfect dummy/c.v.

Anyone got a long shaft for sale??

may sound daft but roll your equal legth shaft across a flat floor and see if it bent, sounds like the problem after you saying that (outer shaft side, conversion shaft)
