Engine Management Light coming on

Hi folks,
Just thought someone else may have experienced this:
Engine management light is coming on after 6K and the power delivery has changed, feels slightly hesitant power comes and goes slightly.
Its a GSI 8v engine

Wasn't sure if it will register a fault code on ecu as light isnt on constantly, dont want to waste money yet if someone has experienced the same problem

Any insight would be great

lol im sure i had the same problem happen once on it mate. did a ecu flash test and it came up as a faulty ron plug. checked the plug and the wiring and it was all ok. By chance i adjusted the mixture screw on the air flow meter slightly ( clockwise) and all power was restored. hope it helps and get some pics up of the old girl :)
