size of hole to cut for c/l e/w

just ordering some grommets and may as well get some for the doors aswell

what size hole should i drill for the wiring to pass through?

i dont have the loom yet so cant se thickness of the wires

There's only 4/5 wires per door so 6-7mm ID will be fine I imagine.

whats the best thing to use to cover up the wire for when they pass between the door and chassis?

I've got a bit of ducting from another car. I think it came from the roofline > tailgate on something, but I can't remember what.

Think mine's just taped.

Just thought, the OD of the hole will need to be big enough to pass the multiplug through, so may be best off waiting till you get the wiring to see what OD you'll need.

I used a 20mm holesaw and I had grommets that I drilled a hole in to and a slot to get the plugs through.
