how is it wired is there an earth on it? theres a plug that goes in ino that but then there is a post with thread on does this need earthing? thanks rob

One is the oil light and the other is the pressure both go to the clocks iirc

So is nothing needed on the Post just the plug needs plugin in? as i dont have another wire for it..? i have a yellow and blue/green wire down back of there any ideas what that is?

That is correct does anyone know what other model vauxhall i can get one off so i can hunt the scrapy's

what engine? and so only the one wile plug connector and thats it does any one have any clues on the yellow/blue wire?

I can never remember the colours but try this guide for wire colours:

One wire is oil pressure light and the other is oil pressure gauge. One goes to the plug and one goes on the pin, both go straight to the clocks.

If your car didnt have an oil gauge/sender as std, you will need to run a new wire to the terminal post from the clocks.

The other will be within the std car loom and controls the oil light.
