Right i have lost my license until my court case has been appealed. I WILL get it back.
Before i lost it my engine went BANG.
I have no idea what to do. I took the cap off the casing that has the cogs in there where oil is, And my engine was full of orange type goo.
It wouldn't start unless i took off airfilter and blocked the intake and then again it would stall within 30 seconds.
Would it be easier to buy a new engine and fit it? Or get it repaired?
It is a 1.2 Sr 1992.
Thank you,
with those mechanical abilities, i'd recommend you get a professional to have a look at it.
ps. they never made a 1.2 sr, only a 1.4 on that reg...

Yeah that the words i was looking for. LOL
If there is orange/oil goo in the engine what could it be?
WELL......
its most likely the head gasket that is blown. and that is a simple repair for a mechanic.

If i get a new head gasket can it be replaced easy? I think i have done before it just the gasket around the cam shaft housing thing?
No, its the next gasket down, between the head and block
Don't they both need to be done at the same time on a 1.2 8v as the cam housing is bolted down with the head bolts?
What appears to be a 1.2 SR is actually a 1.2 Flair... SR insides and spoiler with no power or chassis lol.

IIRC there isnt a gasket betwen the cam housing and the head. just metal on metal. there is a gasket on the rocker cover and then under the head which is the head gasket.

well i was sure... but i got some dumb solictor who messed it up for me.
basicly i was in slow traffic and some jogger run into the SIDE of my car when i was on zebra crossing... But i had an expert in court who proved mesurments ect to prove i was on crossing first and all dat ****.
But the judge didnt like me? Maybe coz im an 18 year old lad... got a heavy fine and 4 points.
So i have appealed against it and i got very exspensive solictor now :P

no not if i was on the crossing travelling less them 5mph... and someone runs into my car. I dont care if they are in the right at all...
I am fighting until i get jutise. :)
+ Take it on the chin? What having to pay a fine i cant afford and getting points that takes my license away... Which then means i cant drive to work or i cant work that needs a driving license that means i cant live lol
on a zebra crossing, the pedestrian is supposed to ensure that it is safe to cross, and if they stand next to the light, must ensure that approaching vehicles have chance to actually safely stop before crossing...... they can't just run across.....

thank you mowgli, i was on the crossing before she even was 2 meters next to it, She run into the side of my car, the damage caused to her body was caused by the force of her speed. If you run into the side of a car you will get hurt, But if she was walking not only would she of not hit my car but if she did she wouldn;t of recieved any damage.
The only witness was TOTALLY on my side. His exact words were "SHE RUN SLAP INTO THE SIDE OF HIS CAR" and "She run across the crossing without looking while listening to music on her headphones"
but the judge still went against me... Its the not the point of money and that anymore its the point of justice. Im just unhappy how i was treated in court.
She ran into the side of your car!???lol
Sorry, but I wouldnt believe that either! :d
What was her side of the story? Was she badly hurt?
It just sounds far faetched - whether its true or not...lol

well you dont have to believe me, I know what happened and so does my witness....
she was jogging at quite a speed and just run smack into the side of my car...
She is claiming i hit her from the front of my car... Altho my Witness said he run into the SIDE and it was my door mirror which was damaged...
