Hi, my car runs rich since i got my 4-1 manifold put in my 1.4 a couple of months ago. Could this be due to the lambda sensor not plugged in? or has the lambda got nothing to do with that.

probably
Car info might help, guessing a gsi nova with cat?
You can buy a boss and get it welded into the manifold

Its a nova 1.4 SRI didnt have a cat in it before had a straight through pipe with a 4-2 manifold but then got the 4-1 put in
yes, get the lambda put in. It's measuring free air so it thinks there's 0 combustion products in your exhaust, so it's fuelling more and more to compensate.

Is it easier to drill the manifold for the boss or weld it innn

can you not just drill the manifold and make a thread for it for the lambda to screw in instead of welding anything to it.

nope because the tube wall of the manifold is nowhere near thick enough to thread

Measure the Lambda sensor thread on the one you have, most older Lambda's are M18(standard Sparkplug size), some (like my Range Rover are M12)
