C20XE Head bolt question

I bought an engine a while ago and have just got round to rebuilding it. The engine came with a box of spares.

The box had a set of 105mm headbolts in.

The engine had 110mm headbolts in and none were tight.

It is an early dizzy engine if that makes any difference.

Just wondering which ones to order.

Are they male or female torx? iirc early engines have male torx bolts.

correctomondo ^^^^ male are 110mm female are female torx and 105mm. (female as in you stick the tool in the bolt oooo yeeeeh)

Yes they were male torx that was in the engine which are longer than the female bolts that were in the box of bits that came with it.

So your saying I should go for 110mm ones?

You need the longer bolts for the earlier engine mate.
