Help! :(

My laptop (Compaq running Windows 7) soemtimes keeps thinking that the ctrl key is pressed down, even when ive not touched the key it randomly thinks its sticking on, then when im in mid-type it just acts asif the key is held down

Anyone else suffer with this? took the key off cleaned etc but problem is still there (done it twice while typing this) to get it to go off i open up the on screen keyboard and click ctrl on there, seems to solve it for anywhere between 5 seconds and half an hour

Check sticky keys isn't enabled.

Press shift 5 times to bring up the menu (if it's on pressing shift 5 times turns it off).
