...but they're the top ripoff merchants (http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-manchester-12824940) lol

As for that being a "mistake", bullsh!t. I've even seen quotes of £10k+ to insure a £350 20 year old cavalier! Chancers.

...and anyway, aren't the RNLI or whatever generally regarded to be the fourth emergency service? lol

But on the flip side, what is cheaper to insure than a Corsa? lol

Yeah but would you do it at 17, with a nearly new car, and just hope it was cheap enough to insure? :wtf:

I always have to check insurance prices when I'm looking at cars as I know there's a good chance I'll get reamed on the wrong model, or a certain model will be far cheaper etc.

Be surprised, heard of a saab 9000 2l (or is it 2.3?) turbo being insured for <£1000 by a 17yo a couple years ago as it's a massive deviation from the usual young lad wraps corsa round a tree statistics.

Car is insured as <1400 1300 at the moment though. They no it's a rally car so don't need to declare everything as they just insure it as heavily modified.
3rd party fire and theft with 3rd party liability cover for road rally's and road sections of stage rally's. Agreed value on car as £3500 £250 excess
All for £550 :)
