I have a jag that I got given and it has no t+t and has a private reg that I want to sell. It's sitting in a garage which has no roof and someone threw a old drill box over the door and it went through the back screen  do I need it for the motty.
I'm not an mot tester so could be wrong lol but I dont think its a testable part unless the tester classes it as part of the structural integrity of the car? Either find a friendly tester or how about welding a piece of sheet metal on?
Shouldn't be. The way I see it is some cars have removable or even electric rear screens like a hilux surf.
MOT manual only seems to cover the front windscreen.

That will be perfect as a rear screen wasn't in my budget.

The plan is get the plate on retention and break/ scrap the car
Oh I see. What's up with the car? Why you scrapping it?

I ll try and sell it first but it's been sitting with no mot sine 2009 and the headgasket might be away as if you rev it a smoke screen appears and there's burning oil or steam coming from one side of the exhaust manifold.
Plus they're worth sod all anyway, large engines expensive tax bad mpg and being an older car so less desirable to the posh types that would drive one, they tend to sell for less than a grand for a decent one from what I've seen.
scrap it, it'll be heavy as fook so thats good
