Suits- talk to me!

I have a funeral to go to on saturday and as I don't own a suit, when obviously everyone should, I need to buy one this week.

How much are we talking for something that will last a while with occasional use?

Any particular type of suit I should be buying to avoid a 'fashion disaster' ? As there seems to be a lot of different styles (for different occasions??) Or does it matter?

Where can I buy from? Do high street shops sell suits? ( can you tell that I hate, and therefore don't do a lot of clothes shopping. I generally wear stuff till it falls off me! )

Any guidance appreciated.

Burtons yo! I gotta get a matching suit for a wedding as I'm best man. 80 quid. Cheap for a wedding you may think, but it's actually really nice.

M&S actually do pretty good quality suits.

Hadn't thought of burtons, had a look online at thier site and they don't seem
too expensive, so will get into town tomorrow hopefully. Will have a look at m&s too. :thumb:

big asda stores are good for a not bad looking cheap suit, face it, you might wear one 3 times a year at most.

As much as i hate to admit it, i needed one for a wedding so i got a cheap one from Matalan :( Worn it twice since :)

Another vote for Matalan, I'm a short arsse so have trouble buying off the peg suits so end up getting children size pants lol

got mine from next in the sale. was about £130 by the time id bought shirts and ties. i didnt go for a jacket tho as i was rocking a waistcoat :cool:

Was just going to say Matalan was beaten by Mazz & Southie........was in there today and after seeing this thread this morning i spotted their suits this afternoon, looked smart..:)
