No pics, but it's the reason my numberplates smashed to **** lol Wasnt a major incident though, I just jimmied a jack handle around the front end and bent it all out, and no one's ever pointed out that it's all a bit wonky up front. Until it got to the insurance that is :( If you have a choice, I highly recommend binning it into something that can't claim lol

Not unless he's converted an evo to auto mate! lol Dunno about Bish, probs not. The lad is called Johnny R and he lost it on the A167 at Chester on the way to the Arnison one Sunday night - was supposed to be picking me up too!!

The only other GTTi i rremember was an F plater. He used to get up Bishop, but I'm going back a few years now! lol

yes mowgli still on going problems my shine has been rebuild time n time again as the bone was not knitting bk together :( ive had bone cut from my hipps to make up a new shine along with a carbon resin

got 12 srcews in my knee & 3 plates

got a plate along side my ankle

can only bend my knee 116degree cos of the plate :(

the winter play **** with me i hate the cold feeling in my bones

but im walking slowly and lost most of the gangster limp to lol

Not my car but I was in the front and Endded up with whip lash and a nice scare were I removed the stereo with my leg. He got out fine and my gf of the time cut her head as she was in the back.
My mate came around the blind bend to find a pink fiat panda in the middle of the road. He swerved to miss it lost control then hit a tree and rolled. I came round to see the wipers going and him in the middle of the road picking up cassettes. He still don't know how he got there.

while we was building craigs red gte turbo (one of the projects i have had on here) he brought a saloon as a run around and parked it square on in the back of a parked avensis at 40 mph no touching the brakes just bang and i ended up getting air lifted as i had half the dash in my chest and gearbox crushing my ankle

I've only had almosts or near misses.

Almost stuffed the nova the other week, went to go round a corner, got warned it was a sharp one, so was inthe process of slowing down when the road decided to turn at 90 degrees, walloped the brakes then realised I wasn't stopping as quick as I wanted to, so wrenched the handbrake. If I hadn't of done that, would've ended up in a field with a tree for an ariel and possibly a load of dirt where the engine would've been. Needless to say a ciggie was soon smoked rather quickly lol.

my crash was in my work, after hittin a tree while at work, come off the road due to mud. Ended up losing my speen, smashing my knee to bit that is now pined and plated and bein on a life surport machine for 2 day's plus breaking 3 of my rib's and now I can only bend my knee about 70 degrees and now stuck with a limp.

does a bit mate, well at the time when i crashed the van they said i was close to losing my leg if i couldn't move my toes because my bone of the top of my leg had come out and my leg was as you would say " hanging off" so the had to rebuild my knee the best they could

70mph into the back of a stationary Honda accord which was parked in the middle of the motorway by i quote : someone who "realized the car had a puncture! And put the handbrake on got out locked the car then walked across the motorway to subsequently watch us crash into the b while having back of their car while they were having a picnic on the embankment" Luckily me and my family were all ok as we were in a 5 star safety rating Renult Kangoo as the police said that we were lucky to be alive! :thumb:

Here are some old Photo's from a rally crash I had with my brother Michael, He was the drive and I the Co-drive.
The crash happened in 1989 it was part of the old Astra rally challenge.
The car has be moved from the crash place.

The block head was removed after the crash as it was the one item worth take from the car the rest was F***ed

The seat did not snap it's back it was cut by the rescue crew as the car was laying on it's side in a concrete drainage ditch they took Michael out then cut the seat away to get to me.

The Co-driver's foot rest is still bolted to the floor but is now under my seat.
There is now NO more foot well it is just straight metal down from the screen to the floor.

We both rallied for many year after the crash despite spending all most 12 months of work and most of that in wheel chairs.
I still rally and Bro he dose hard core down-hill mountain biking now :) lol:thumb:

Not sure Connor we both have memory loss of around 24 hours so we don't know why we crashed but spectators say we where doing about 80 MPH left the road and landed in a concrete covet with a crossing point for tanks in it and the car went for 80 to 0 in zero time.

Holy moly, thats some impact and a half, glad to hear you carried on rallying afterwards, i very much doubt i would after a crash like that We had a long time to talk about in Hospital, do we do we not, all so long talk with our Mum and Dad as in was bloodily hard on them, both son's nearly lost in the same car.
This rally crash changed the rules on roll cages. The car was fitted with a very good cage BUT it was Alloy it sheared in 7 places the RACMAS used it to ban the use of ALLOY for roll cages in motorsport.
So we made history lol

Thanks Andy it's a 1.4 SR with around 110 bhp.
Will do the photos tomorrow.
There is some chassis damage but not sure how bad just now I must take a good look at it.

Going on from the RTI thread in Gen Chat, its interesting to note that most (not all, but a definite majority) of these accidents were involving drivers under 25, or even under 21 in a lot of cases too. My hedge eater included, I was 18.

So don't whinge about high insurance prices for young drivers lol
