hi think of getting the new bold 9780 just what your torts on that model. and if you have another model what your torts i was thinking of the curve 3G but don't no any one with one to get an opinion on it. i currently have the bold 9000 and think it great but need to upgrade it as it about 2 years old now.
all opinions welcome
my view is that they are nearly as crap as i phones.........
i now have a nokia n95 & am way happier.
accidental duplication.....
i got a curve and its the worst phone iv ever had it takes about 5 minits to turn on and is so slow, my cousin has the bb torch and its the same wouldnt recomend them to anyone

You shouldnt need to turn it off that often lol.
I have a Bold 9700...... Its getting a little irritating due to being buggy as ****, but I do love the concept of the BB over the Ipone (that said if the Storm 3 isnt out by september I'll get an Ipone).

i have to turn it off because it always freezes
Mine hasn't frozen once, ever, neither did my old one I had for 2 years.
must be all that porn i keep on it:(
That's that decision made for me then.
I'll be sticking with Sony Ericsson come upgrade date.

My BB Bold is the most reliable phone I have had. Had HTC's upto getting this and they started good but get worse with every new model. The last one just had so many problems and kept having to turn it off/on.
The BB never freezes or has problems, yes it does take a while to do a full reboot but very rarely have to do it if ever.
The internet is very quick and BB Messenger is a good feature.
Screen quality is good, camera is good, data services are excellent and battery life is the best I have had on a phone
Cant fault it and will definately get another.
bbm broadcasts are annoying god knows what camera its got something off a 90's nokia or some **** internet is about the only thing i like about my phone lol oh and app worlds pretty cool

I have a Bold, not had any problems, 2nd BB I've had, had a Storm which I liked, would have waited for a Torch, but didn't know it was going to be available.
My bold 9700 was ace till it managed to kill some hardware inside itself... since the repair its never been the same :( Still works but hangs a little and takes about half the battery to reboot.
All that aside, I still want a new touchscreen one lol
i had one, and got seriously annoyed when i had to keep dismantling it to clean out the roller ball.. then the ringing speaker went tats oop

lol is that because you were using it like a mouse??!!
Modern ones have a 'track pad'.... but Dan has managed to ruin the speaker too. Builder types shouldnt have a blackberry on yours and his experience alone lol

no, up until a year ago, i was permanently working on building sites, and tiny bits of dust would get in when i was using it..

Retired now then?
no, our transport company manager was suspected by us of nicking £300, i spent a few hours looking at the finances & realised he had nicked nearer £10k, so suddenly one morning last january, i started working in our transport office full time.. i really miss the construction job, but life moves on
the ex manager got a simple choice off the court, pay it back or go inside for 20 weeks, we got the money

1st one i stupidly smashed due to an ex!
I've never really liked the look and feel of a bramble (as spud so puts it lol)
HTC Desire for me. I'm normally a Nokia fanboi but the Z has happily dragged me to the android side.

Are Nokia even still going? Think they are in big trouble at the moment.
HTC's were too unreliable for me, too many software issues and having to reboot everyday.
i-Phones are a bit too gimicky for me

i had the bold 9000 since October now and got it off ebay. it is 2 year old phone i replaced the track ball on cribo eve and it never been a bother since. just want a new one to give this to the lass
i has a Vivaz...still on Symbian SE5 which is annoying but the camera and HD )720p) is awesome. does get a big lags when your inbox has 4000 messages in it...but cant fault it otherwise, oh and i has big thumbs so touch screen is a bit annoying using the full qwerty

Although, saying that, I do really like Jacks Desire Z and I think I might get one of them when I eventually have to give up my old faitfull.
IPhones are gak!!!
Do it right and do it once

You appear to have made a typo or something there. Obviously the overpriced problem plagued iSheep with the battery life of an electric car running on 12 AA's wouldn't be your recommendation, would it?lol

Ahhh, irrelevant put downs, the saving grace of the lost argument. :p
my brother went from a blackberry to an i phone & is now on a nokia.. the iphone lasted a week & then refused to accept the sim card. all was going swimmingly until he actually got thru to the irish call centre, and they wanted him to give them £350 by card until his new phone arrived & the old one was returned safely to them... this was the moment when he told them all about robbery laws & married parents, then went mad at orange, and got it collected foc..
Lots of people running all phones with no problems, and less than those who have had problems... Remember you only ever hear bad

Galaxy S is rated well. I'm not keen on the N8, its had generally mediocre reviews, its bulky, and its still on ancient old Symbian

This is true, but considering I don't know anyone who has had an iPhone without any problems at all yet lol
yes but you are a pikey student and students are just evil to phones lol.

I have an 20 month old iPhone with no faults to report :d
Happy bramble 9780 owner here, had a prob with my first one which was replaced by carphone warehouse and not had any mishaps with the new one:thumb:
I've got a curve and a storm 2. The. Curve is ok as a phone an that's about it. The storm tho, which I'm using to type this, is farking excellent with the amount of apps an stuff you can get. Easily comporable to an iPhone IMHO. Any who's owned a blackberry I thinks its **** has bought it an just used it as a normal phone.
I'm currently 100 odd mile from home and I can email fax conference call an browse the internet, watch youtube yadda yadda just like I was on my pc at home.
Mike in realising the power of modern technology shocker lol
edit: Mike, my phone can open MSOffice files and PDF's! :p

Galaxy S looks ok

I will consider it instead of a iPhone when my contract is up in a few months

Forgot to say aswell, my Blackberry is the most indestructable phone I have had. I threw it at a brick wall by mistake then it landed on the floor once and I have dropped it on the fllor bumerous times and it still looks like new apart from a coule of marks.
