Anyone got any experience resetting the gearlinkage on an F17 gearbox (shaft, not cable)?
I have an Astra G Coupe 1.8 and 1st & 2nd gears are quite awkward to get into when slowing down. I want to try reseting the linkage but can't really find any info over on AOC so thought I'd ask here first, I know there's a few ex owners here.
I'm assuming it's much the same as my old Nova on F20, ie release bolt on change shaft/tube, stick the 4.5mm drill in gearbox, align and hold gear lever with arrows, clamp bolt back on. I can't see where the 4.5 drill would go into the F17 box, I can see what looks like a button with a small spring, does this have anything to do with it?
