valve lifters - dejack and prime ?!??!

ook im building this 1400 engine and CP told me to "dejack and prime" the lifters

the lifters came from the original 80000 mile sr head and are goin into the GTE head ive got for the new engine

so i had a read thru haynes and couldnt find owt about that so i pulled the lifter apart and gave it all a good clean with some degreaser

now i want this engine to be sweet as a nut once ive built it so i dont want any rattling or tapping from the top end

basically i wanna know what to do with these lifters now, and owt else i should do before reassembling it to make sure it doesnt rattle like the engine ive got just now :@

place in a tub of clean oil and pump... clean oil the holes before dropping the lifters in too

pump until what?

a certain number of times?

pump till you are exhausted or till it is full lubed and there is no air to escape
