Thats due to the number of fraudulent claims and uninsured pets going about.........

Been paying for my German Shepherd since she was a puppy, never once had to claim off it, but chose not to cancel as you never know.

Now her hips have become Displaced, Arthritis etc (classic Pedigree shepherd traits) her Insurance has been claimed many times for painkillers/special food she needs etc.

In other words it's usually worth it eventually

just called the vets to check on how he is doing and get the price £377 and he has to go back 4 times to have it rebandged and that aint included in the price, he had 4 internal stichs and 4 external stichs so much for saving money this month lol

going to go pick him up around 4ish gotta find some one to take him to the vets to have it rebandged aswell because im working away again all this week nothing is ever simple is it lol

good news is he is getting insured today full accendtial injury cover upto 2.5k and only 70 quid a year im a muppet should have got it after the last time he was there and it cost me over 400 quid never mind atless he is ok now.

Glad he's ok, we keep talking about insurance for the dog and cat, the cat was there twice in 1 week, first for a bee sting to the paw needed an anti inflamitory jab, then he pulled a muscle in his thigh 4 days later and was on pain killers.

Think we really should do it soon rather than later...:)

best dog insurance i found was with either sainsburys, more than or asda, i went with sainburys, works out at £11:05 a month, just make sure the max they pay out will be per illness for life, not for twelve months, also if your dog has already been to the vet for any treatment on whatever it was that was wrong then it makes future claims on said problem void, eg:-if hes had a problem with one paw then that paw wont be covered etc

You do know you won't be able to claim for any re-occurence of a previous illness or injury don't you?

We have our dog insured with More Than and they have been excellent shes only 2 years old. We pay £120 per year thats after 1 claim as we had to use them when she was 6 months old. The operation she had would have cost us £700 so I would deffo reccomend some kind of pet insurance.
