Don't look too sad I suppose, and if you removing the dash for any reason anyways then that's half the work done.

looks alright i suppose but i'd rather have the real thing! as iain said - looks all wrinkly in one place - think thats ruined the effect a little

bit like a vibrator really, does the job for a quick fix but you dont want it long term lol

I like your seats.

As for the dash, it's looks too DIY. I couldn't stare at that while I was driving.

Are you sure those astra van seats aren't vinyl as I have a set and don't think they are leather. Also matt black ftw with a polish.

Grey is better anyway, not as drab & gloomy as all the black IMO.

I had a GSi for 10 years, so know what I mean.

I like to see the grey still in there, I kept the grey dash and got some door cards to match and it matches with the grey/blue sr interior in mine. Everyone does black gsi interior but if that's what you want then why not.

that wrinkly bit was on the switches not the dash iirc , the dash looks good, I used the halfords special vinyl dash paint that was almost 8 years ago, still looks spot on! all in the prep!

Mine come out good aswell, hasnt flaked off anywhere and i rubbed some autoglym plastic conditioner gel stuff allover it it made it glossy and protects it. I suppose it will do until either it flakes off or a cheap proper GSi one comes up for sale.

Painted dash can look good, but I'd always be too worried about scratching it.

novaboyopr
21-03-11, 09:36 PM
whos wants a black gsi dash when you can have a black flocked dash and look the mutha truckin man lol

SRimon

Never as good as the real thing IMO.

I had two painted ones, both either scratched or flaked, and I prepped them well.

You need to do it Satin if anything - GSi dashes for sure ain't gloss black.
