Just a reminder that tonight will be the rare chance to see the moon at its largest. Not sure how good it will be but i can remember clearly when we had this last time in 1992, just parked my mini up to be greeted by a massive red orb peeking over the horizon.

It was defo very impressive to remain such a clear memory, so this should be the same, especially with the clear skies forecast. Trick is to catch it as its rising so you have visual comparisons, because once up in the sky there is nothing to compare it to.

Just thought i would mention it as some of you have big fancy camera's and some epic pics can be taken :thumb:

year thanks i was 2 in 92 so never seen a really big moon yet

thank god you are talking astronomy, i though it was another pic of spudly's cavva cleavage on baxters drive again...

it should be clear tonight, so my kids will be howling at it as usual

lol lol it wasnt that bad, i was just a slip of a lad at 17 so the little orange mini on mamba alloys was a perfect fit

well the 'supermoon' was a crock of shoite :wtf: ive got pics of the old one, and this isnt anything special at all lol lol

oh well, maybe get a better view in another 20 years

earler when it was resining mate was masive come up behind the tress on top the big hill out the back mine and was orange as out

Just looked like every other moon from round our way.
Our lass was VERY disapointed. But I got her an ice cream to cheer her up.

double-come 99 with monkeys blood and orange sherbert sprinkles.

^this was far more impressive that the moon.
