View Full Version : redtop fuel pump wire?

alright folks

got a redtop conversion,what stripped shell down etc,now putting back together,but the person who had wired it,has a connector on the thin blue and red wire and also the blue and red thick on. coming out of the fuel pump,
which one do i need to use for the power to the pump? is it the thin one or thick?
what would he have t'd into the other one for?

Anyway you will have a thick blue and red wire as sort of explained coming from your engine loom, this needs to go to the + on the fuel pump and then the - on the pump needs putting to a earth... Simples! :D

sorry mate my dyslexia give me problems sometimes

what i meant was at the fuel pump relay,you have a thin red and blue and a thick red and blue,
which one do i use to go to the pump

The thick one goes to +ve on the pump.

the thing red/blue is the switched live for the heating element of the lambda sensor

do you tee in to the thick red and blue wire or do you cut it and just connect it. as in from the relay?
