I'm after some glue. Needs to be special glue.

Basically i am fitting my rear windows. Need to fix the metal tab clip things to the glass. After doing some picture searching it appears this is the way the are fitted.

Any ideas?

BTW...i am on about opening rear windows for those not in the know lol

Get some from Autowindscreens or similar. Like the stuff they use to bond interior mirrors/mountings on.
Have you got proper ones or have you drilled standard glass? If its normal glass its the wrong size.

Thanks. I'll have a look.

I bought what Dec had. Offered it up today. It looks smaller.

EDIT: be any good? Number of an item on a popular auction site...280635382295

EDIT EDIT: Novasport, am i right in saying that the tabs need to be on the outside?

Yes, the tabs go on the outside.

The opening glass is a lot larger than standard glass

Pete, isn't yours mk2?

Have you cut slots for the hinge? Thought it was only mk1s that had them...

Yeah mine is a mk2. Slots cut and checked the fitment of rubbers before it went for paint!

Anybody thought about making them electric? Depends what theme the car is, whether modern or original, but would suit a mk2 IMO
