Yes run a single line through a bias valve then through the handbrake then split to the rear brakes

0.625 is the one to use and the bias valve must be before the master cylinder

some of the stage rally guys sugest smaller than 0.625 if you can get one, i use this size and so do all my mates in the road rally scene

:)

edited to say that in my opinion a bias valve is a must have item, adjusted so the rears dont lock up under normal braking

oh yes just i case you dont know the pipe from the front of the car go to the hole with the black cover and the pipe to the rear calipers goes from the red (as shown in the ebay pic) lots of people get this wrong :)

contact seller :) everyone on the rally forum says use .625, only one person i found on search said they used .75 and that was on drum brakes for disks the same guy said he used .625

I used .625 on my bias box too for the rear,

I take it when you say fit the bias valve before the master cylinder you mean the handbrake cylinder and not the one at the servo?

I too would reccomend a .625 on the hand brake. As other people said run a single line through the car and then t-piece it off at the back of the car.

Also keep the mechanical hand brake available DON'T USE ONE OF THEM LINE LOCKS. Otherwise you will come out to see your car gone and it will have rolled away!

To see who came up with best answer lol

Kev I've got the full plumbing diagram in a book if you want it scaned and posted up let me know,

And one other thing, the term bias valve, it doesn't actually bias the brakes front to rear, it only restricts the flow to the rear and the braking effort for the front is not affected as it's supply comes from a different source on the master cylinder anyway,

i think they are also known as proportional valves which is a better description??

:)

yeah like i'll do some work on a nova lollollollol

anyway here be the pikture, i notice now that it is for a pedal box setup so does not have the "bias valve" fitted but the plumbing would be the same anyway with the bias vale fitted in before the hyd handbrake.

A very cheap and effective alternative for the master cylinder is off an old Land Rover, they have a threaded in and out connection so can be used in-line with the rear brake circuit:

i had thought of just buying one like that. but the one i got had a nice bracet and saved my making one

Dont forget when you mount it up you want the clevis pin near enough on the end of the threaded bar thats on the M/C so you can get as much throw on the h/lever as possible.

I only shortened mine down to make max throw at 3 clicks because thats just the way I like it kinda thing.
