Mine was cheaper on the Celica, although admittedly I did take Hayley off and drop the business use.

I expect the Nova will be around the same price as well (although initial renewal quote will no doubt be a good £150 up on last year!). Otherwise its getting mothballed, I'm not paying >£400 to insure a heap I only drive for about 3k a year.

Im the wrong side of 25 and have 7 years NCB. no points etc.. and struggled to get my insurance under £800 for my 1.5 Colt. :(

I know its a higher insurance group coz its a turbo (smallest turbo he has ever seen according to Jack) but I still thought my price was stupidly high

Jack

I fart more boost than your turbo.

Its silly really, at your age I was paying <£500 on my gp18 240bhp GT4, where as you're paying that to insure a gp16 150bhp Colt

[edit] FLOL just looked it up, its actually group 13! WTF!

Hayley
09-03-11, 05:36 PM
Hey. Yes its a wee boost but it goes enough for me fank you very much.

group 13?! really. im sure it was higher than that. Well that makes my price even more rickydiculous

Not really, its average price (£5-6k, so book figure probably about £4k) for a 2006 car IMO. Its not even the top model, as the Black Hawk is top

Give Sky a call, My GSI is now insured as a 2.0 16v on carbs with suspension, brakes and exhaust mods for £1800 and im 20 with a clean licence and 3 years no claims. So I would have thought a 16se converted 1.2 wouldnt be silly money.

mine was 320 last year on the loon fully comp everything declaired and agreed valuation on classic policy with hic

when i was 19 i had my first conversion went from a 1.2 to a 2.0 and had to change insurers went from paying £790 on the 1.2 to £702 on the 2.0 based on same ncd etc was realy shocked and hic said due to the mods its was classed as an enthusiast owned car and due to the money i had spent i was more likely to look after it, ive never found anyone to touch them tbf
