what compression am i looking for just been out and bought the kit @ £35 will update as to what the readout is cheers.
over 100, and not more than 10 psi out between each i think

Well number one and two have 75.three has 25 number four has none. well i think its fair to say the rings have fried, without even doing ten miles.:mad:

Did you fit brand new rings??:wtf:
If you did have you broken one whilst re-fitting the pistons in the block?

Oh dear. That sounds to be FUBAR.
If the motor is sweet - 160psi per pot.
did you do something strange with the big end shells when you put it back together?? cos 10 miles is a bit short.. or did you put std size rings into an engine with a lot of bore wear?

Unfortunatly i did not rebuild her i was told by the person i bought it off. the bores have no lips and look brand new,i am taking it apart then taking it to Rotherham rebore.:thumb: :cry: things are never simple will update with pix.
