View Full Version : Projects being put off by the Weather!
I have been smoothing by bay for around a mounth now, its nearly done too! So today when I got up and saw it were sunny I thought i would crack on!
I go outside for 10 minutes before it starts to drizzle, and it has been for atleast an hour now!!!
The most annoying thing is it only wants priming and finishing off!!!
Any one else having this issue atm?

I've got a new front valance, new wings etc to go on. Have to repair a dent in the door and my scabby rear arch.
I live right out in the sticks, when it's even remotely damp the roads to my house become pure mud so I can't even start work on the car body-wise unless it has been dry for a couple days previous :(
However, today it has been sunny and warm, I've managed to wash and wax the car. And fit some new harnesses to the Rally car :)
****e really, atleast we are all in it together!

Ive booked the next 2 weeks off to crack on and get finished, whats the odds il have weather to suit? Lol
Ive got lots & lots to do & not time or space to do it :S
Cant even start any carbon doors until the better weathers here, ended up painting the bonnet instead of wrapping it as its raining today :(
Been set back a few days, but have just been fighting through it, Car is nearly finished.
lack of money/motivation is a bigger issue than the weather tbh lol
i was so un-motivated i bought a car already done!

its the best thing i have done.
i had a list of small but massive PITA jobs, which doing on the drive were gonna kill me. so i bought the new one, with some small easy jobs to do.
with selling all the bits of the blue one, it has almost paid for the silver one.
i know how you feel, been a few good days recently so been contiuing with the sr when i can.
Bit of drizzle? Dan cant you get a gazebo or something similar for when the weathers sh1tty (always then) I had to paint my arch in the pissing down rain (it did come out terrible but meh all i had was an umbrella to keep it dry)

i got a text this morning saying i can borrow someone's engine crane and finally get my engine out the astra's boot and into the nova but im just plain lazy and used the weather as an excuse not to make a start and get it done lol
i really need to get it done though as i want it ready for the national meet
I was working on my car in sun, rain, hail and knee deep snow, all in one day.

My cars getting a strip down this year because running it in all weather for the last 6 years is making the Nova look a little tired, a strip down and a mega clean will happen this year also doing the rear arches ;)
those "easy up" things are actually really useful and good.
might look into getting one...

Don't start me about the weather. It seems to be getting colder. No motivation to do anything in this cold :(
Weather is a pain but it's always been the same in this country. Was fine all week while in work and then drizzling all day yesterday.
Moaned about it for a bit and then eventually decided to get on with it and fitted the LSD box to the MR2. Didn't quite finish it but if I hadn't moaned for as long in the morning it would have been done!
A combination of cold weather and bad hangover means I'll be doing fcuk all today,
Man up ya big girl and get a thicker jumper/old coat on lol
But my bed is warm and comfy lol
I might go and play at novas this afternoon
Id go play at novas but i havent got one, ill go fit my HID kit to the cav in a bit, wouldve started it already but im awaiting the arrival of an elusive mr Royston, dunno what time he is coming but you can guarrantee as soon as i lift the bonnet he will turn up lol
*EDIT*
Speak of the devil lol
