The fuel pump on my 1.2 nova gave up the ghost, and although there is no problem getting the pump I am finding it near impossible to obtain a '6mm thick insulator/gasket' that goes between the pump and the top of the engine. All the ones that I have looked at are about 3mm thick, and as you know, only one size will fit your particular pump. In other words you cannot make a 3mm fit a bigger gap.
Edit, I have tried to put 2x3mm together, but it does not work

Could you make one, make it out of 5mm thick alloy with 2 paper gaskets.

I will take a photo first thing in the morning, but yes it is a plastic type thingy ma bob. It has 2 holes (one either side where it bolts to the section at the end of the camshaft) and a larger hole in the middle that the spring on the end of the fuel pump goes through.

How would I go about making one with minimal tools?
