oh well i guess i will just have to wait to post the pics
so heres some further info

bought nova nov2009 for £1000 it was stunning the best one i had seen for ages
i gave it a good check over and found it was perfect inside and out so i ran it for 11 months changing a few things on the way

being a vauxhall tech my nova has had an oil change every month i know this sound sad and obsesive but why the hell not i have **** loads of oil and a ton of filters

first thing to change was the standard airfilter for a k&n

then came the head unit, car came with the standard phillips unit which i changed for a alpine ipod unit

next up was a wheel swap from the standard two tone steelies to some 14inch corsa sport irmschers

then it was time for a bit of maintinence so i undersealed the car and fitted some new pads

i then got a bored one afternoon and decided to fit all the parts i had bought for the car along the way , i had planned to fit bits as and when they were needed but heyho

part fitted

plugs
leads
dizzy cap
rotor arm
cam cover gasket/bolts
timing belt kit
disks/pads
shoes/drums
alt belt

scottish
04-03-11, 09:16 PM
OMG this is turning into a bloody nova life story

scottish
04-03-11, 09:28 PM
well one fine day in october 2010 on my way home some little chav boy decided that he would use his new drivers licence that he picked up from his packet of rice crispies and he cut me up on a busy road

so after a few choice words and a few friendly hand gestures i decided i was going to chase this little ahole all the way home and stick his fiesta with p plates up his ass

so after chasing him for 7 miles boom all hell brakes loose and car started coughing and spluttering and died on me

scottish
04-03-11, 09:31 PM
so i had to take the shame and pull over

after finally limping home i found out my good old carb had let me down

scottish
04-03-11, 09:41 PM
so now it was time for a bit of a rebuild

so for the past 3 months i have

fully rebuilt head
fitted new water pump
timing belt kit
timing belt covers
head set/bolts
weber 32/34dmtl
itg filter
glass fuel filter
breather filter

scottish
04-03-11, 09:48 PM
now car is back up and running there are just a few other things to finish off

i need a new alternator ( bearings are shot )
carb needs set up
needs a bit of bodywork tidy
mot
tax

and a good run in before i head up to scotland for total vauxhall day at crail airfield

scottish
04-03-11, 09:49 PM
i will post pics when i am allowed and keep everyone upto date with fresh info

Such what does you work with this carburetor?? I have one as this, but not if it will not be great for this engine.
Regards.

scottish
13-03-11, 11:49 PM
i thought it was a goner to kev but it patched up good and its solid now i think next year i will take it off road for a serious rebuild but for now its good enough to keep driving

and corsatr2p wtf u on about brain doner the weber is a quality bit of kit much more reliable than the standard pierburg ask anyone

its the webber carb which most go for beter than the crud pierburg with auto choke that decides not to work when you need it to

Not, if I to the Pierburg 2e have adapted the manual started of the Pierburg 1B, what happens is that I am not consent to his performance and walk looking for a carburetor that me of more happy moments, jeje

Certainly, precious key!
