Temp Gauge

[ECO16V]

When on tickover the temp gauge on my GSi rises to temp normally and the fan cuts in as usual, but once u start driving it drops quite rapidly to the blue line and doesnt rise again until stuck in traffic or parked, is this likely to be the thermostat stuck open?

I had a similar prob on my veccy at xmas and it turned out to be the thermostat.

Any advice guys?
