Just removed the lifters from my c14se and took the first 1 apart

When I put them back together do I just put oil into the cylinder part them put it back together

get a tub fill it with oil and stand them in the oil for 24 hours mate

No, oil the parts that move and fit them empty, otherwise they can overfill and hold open the valves so you will struggle to get it started.

should i be able to compress the lifters by hand once thier built back together?

you are meant to reassemble them with only a tiny amount of oil , so the engine pumps them up itself.

as mowgli said a small amount of oil then the engine will prime the rest and do the job :)

thanks ive never taken lifters apart before so wanna make sure ive done it right

so just enough oil to lube them
