View Full Version : maximum and minimum offset for wheels on a nova?

having a few wheel problems while looking around for some for my nova, just wondering what sort of offset wheels i should be looking for? ive found somewhere that says its 49 offset but how far can i stray from that

as far as your wallet allows, anything is possable

correct answer is about 5mm but it depends on what wheel size/suspension you have. try to stick to ET49 if your car is std-ish

its a 5 door hatch, lowered 60mm and the wheels are 7j 15"?

Smaller wheels will give you more options

I have et33's 14" 6j had to mod the beam tho

hmmm well i think i might just try and put them on to the what problems i get, if its too difficult ill just flog them on and get some cesaro's or alessios!

You'll get away with an ET 38 if you roll the arches on a five door. i managed to squeeze them onto a 3 door by completely eliminating most of the arch lip. Any wider than that and you're into trouble.

well they fit a vw so that means they are atleast ET39. so should be ok on that front! how would i roll my arches?

If you want it done properly you have to take it to a bodyshop, preferably one with an arch roller. That way you wont damage the paint or end up with a load of ripples.

Depends where you go and how busy they are. Place i used to go years ago would do it in their lunch break for cash, so cheapy cheap :)

ahh well ive got a few freinds that work in various places nearby so hopefuly someone knows how to roll some arches or has the proper tools i can pilfer for a bit! and to mowgli just needed my 5 door arches rolling

i had 17" 7.5J vw wheels on mine...et35 i think...were fine after i rolled the lips on the arches.
