View Full Version : diffrence between 1.3 & 1.4 carb

Hey all Ive just got 1.3 carb as i needed to replace the auto choke but its for my 14nv engine whats the diffrence between the two carbs ? any help would be good.

None, the difference is in the manifold. Speaking of which, did you get the 1.3 manifold too?!
the weber 32/34 is different by 1 main jet on the secondary barrel. though I dont know weather that would be same on a pierburg.

Early 1.3 SR has a 1B1 pierburg carb (single choke) later 1.3 and 1.4s hav the 2E3 carb (twin choke)
Inlet manifold I suspect will be different cathederal/round ports 1.3 - 1.4
I swapped my 1B1 for a 32/42DMTL Weber many years ago

The carb is now fitted and working fine after I realised that I had the number 3 & 2 plugs on the wrong way round lol.
