well i managed to find my self a good clean and manly genuine vauxhall nova with 44k on the clocks it has been dry stored since 1997 and has a load of service history i brought it of a very nice couple that no longer wanted the car as they are now retired and only need one car its taking me a while to get use to the manual choke but I'm loving the way it handles and the gear change every thing feels tight and new on the car

the only problem with it is a little bit of rust on the rear arch which i will be getting sorted very soon as well as these tiny little bits i can see about to for which i will also get sorted to make sure it dose not become a problem

as for modifications I'm torn between a GTE replica or a Sr replica I'm leaning towards the GTE right now but seems as i will have to wait till i can afford to do any work on it i guess it dose not matter for the moment

so here are some pictures of it let me know what you think and what you think i should do GTE OR SR REPLICA

oo and also i forgot to add i had it on a rolling road and it made 55hp and 52 torque the operators was very surprised with how clean it is and said its one of the tidiest example they had ever seen which made me very happy http://www.migweb.co.uk/forums/images/smilies/thumb.gif

the latest buy was this

only cost a tenner and along with a new rotor arm and dizzy cap and also adjusting the ignition timing it runs like a dream

hopefully it works until i can get the money to replace the engine with a 1.4 or maybe 1.6 carb engine

edit...

i also managed to flip the rocker cover so its now on the right way around which is nice

the whole dash should have been taken out but i managed with the help of some hard backed books that wedge it enough forward to just get me arms in and fit the dash speakers my arms were cut to ribbons after lol

which SR interior....? The Sport style "Daytona Check" was also found in very early SRs, the only difference between the single piece rear bench in the Sport as opposed to 60/40 splits...
