SRI clocks

will the clocks (ie rev counter, speedo etc) go from an sri to a mk1?? do the clocks look any different to mk1?

the only way u could get SRi clocks in a mk1 nova is to actually swap the dial faces from the SRi clocks to a set of mk1 6-dials out of a GTE or SR because to my knowledge mk2 clocks wont fit in a mk1 because they have 3 bits of plastic on the edge of them with screw holes into to fix them into the mk2 dash whereas the mk1 clocks just slide into the dash. you could try and saw the bit of plastic off i suppose?? n e one else tried this conversion???

yes theyve got the tabs would be easier to just swap the dials over, not a hard job

nope, MK2 dials are diff shape than Mk1, the SRi clocks would work with the rev counter in an MK2 i know cos ive done it, because the conects are there, just run a wire from the sensor to the clock. Dunno about it working on an Mk1 with a dash conversion.

SR and SRI clocks are only 4 dials! only GSi and GTE clocks have the set of 6, is an easy conversion though.

yes they are just there for show and not actually clocks

mk1 sr has 6 dials ann neddle type, i think MK2 sr and defo sri has 4 dials and 2 lights (oil/bat warning)

if u have a set of mk1 sr ones and mk2 sri ones u will be able to make a set that work

correct i had them in my mk2 sr, stupid lights for guages, how nausing is that. why are vauxhall bacwards! things are supposed to improve over age, then they go and remove two dials WTF
