Can the pulleys just be swapped between standard and multi V belts, or are there other differences to consider? All the high amp ones seem to be multi V :confused:

im pretty sure the mountings may be different on them, where the single v ones are adjustable

I had issues with spacer and pulley gaps rubbing on the casing but managed to make one working solution out of two v alternators., but not with multirib to v belt. AustinL - Beige loon- actually used a much later alt with a v belt no probs

just realised they are definatly different. the lower bracket is completley different, may work if you changed the bracket but im not 100%

Found the thread, its Austin_nova16, PM him, you would need the mounting bracket as well as Rich states but two years ago at pv I asked him about the late alternator and v belt
