im seeing how much i can get a c20ne for now is it going to be easy to convert my td nova to the c20ne engine
IIRC one of the mounts on a TD is different to the petrol engines.
Surely it would be a better conversion to stick a 1.7TD in?
Why, a C20ne is 115bhp if your luckly, more likely to be around 100bhp!
All that effort and money wasted when all you have to do is have a play with yours, you will get more power and tourqe for No extra cost! Plus you will still get 50mpg!
devil fuel seems to be the way forward atm :(

dont like the 1.7 i might be getting the c20ne for about 200 notes then the mount kit so make total 270 notes

Why thought? for that money you could have a 1.7TD with more power and Torque, a quicker car in general and it will be cheaper to run...

becasue diesel is the devils fuel, and can never be faster then a petrol lol

is it worth cutting and welding new mounts in to fit the petrol, let alone a tank and line change allso

Why not tune the engine you have got? Would be far more cost effective.
It's all down to how each person wants the car. If I bought a Nova, I wouldn't want a diesel. Just the same as I wouldn't convert my Fiesta to a diesel. Most people buy Nova's to boy them up, not to get phat mpg and smoke out the place!
But, I wouldn't bother much with a c20ne. Well I would, it's my fantasy Nova intact, but it would be an early red SR, c20ne, twin carbs, and all parts from the period the car was made. But that's just me.....
